Privacy Policy for ColorJoy

ColorJoy is a drawing and colouring app for children, published by Dhungel’s.

This policy explains, in plain language, what ColorJoy does with information. The short version: ColorJoy collects nothing, sends nothing, and needs no account. Everything your child makes stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing.

ColorJoy does not collect, store, transmit, sell or share any personal information. Specifically, it does not collect:

Names, email addresses, phone numbers or postal addresses
Photographs, contacts, calendar entries or files from your device
Location of any kind, precise or approximate
Advertising identifiers, device identifiers or IP addresses
Usage analytics, crash reports or behavioural data
Voice or audio recordings
Anything a child types or draws

There is no sign-up, no login and no user account.

The app has no internet access

ColorJoy requests no permissions at all on Android or iOS, including no internet permission. It contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK. It cannot send data anywhere, because it has no means of doing so.

Every feature — all the colouring pages, games, lessons and stories — works fully offline.

What is stored on your device

ColorJoy saves the following locally on your device only, in the app’s own private storage:

Drawings and coloured pages your child creates
Progress: which pages and levels are finished, stars earned, badges unlocked
Settings: sound and music preferences, accessibility options, screen-time limit
A child’s first name, only if a grown-up chooses to enter one in the Parent Zone. It is used solely to say hello on the home screen and to congratulate the child when they finish an activity. It never leaves the device.

None of this is transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app removes all of it permanently.

When information leaves the device

There are exactly two ways anything can leave your device, and both require a grown-up to deliberately choose it:

Sharing or saving a picture. If you use the share or export button, ColorJoy hands that single image to your device’s standard share sheet. You then choose where it goes — photo library, messages, email, another app. ColorJoy has no part in what happens after that, and sends nothing itself.
Exporting a backup. The Parent Zone can export progress as a file you save or send somewhere of your choosing. Again, ColorJoy only hands the file to your device; it uploads nothing.

If you never use these buttons, nothing ever leaves the device.

Advertising and purchases

ColorJoy contains no advertising and no third-party ad networks. It contains no in-app purchases. The stars and unlockables in the app are earned by playing and cost no real money. Children cannot spend anything.

Children’s privacy

ColorJoy is designed for children and is intended to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and Article 8 of the GDPR.

Because ColorJoy collects no personal information from anyone, there is nothing for us to disclose to a parent, correct, or delete from our records — we hold no records. All data lives on your own device and is under your control.

The Parent Zone is behind a simple arithmetic question, so that settings and data controls are reachable by grown-ups but not by young children.

Your control over the data

Because everything is local, you are always in full control:

Delete individual artwork from the gallery.
Delete all artwork from the Parent Zone.
Clear the child’s name by saving an empty name in the Parent Zone.
Remove everything by uninstalling the app.

Third-party components

ColorJoy is built with Flutter and uses open-source libraries for local storage, local audio playback, image encoding and the system share sheet. None of these is configured to contact a network service, and none receives personal information.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of ColorJoy ever changes how it handles information, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change. Any change that introduces data collection would be described here plainly.
